“BONNIE AND CLYDE” BANDITS PHOTO SHOOT
FROM 1967 FOUND
Bonnie and Cycle
In 1967 the gangster movie “Bonnie and Clyde” influenced decades of movie-making that came after it. The film was nominated for 10 Oscars and took home 2. The Jelly Bean Bandits did a mock photo shoot with photographer Diane Carlson (who also stepped in these 2 photos) based on the characters from the movie. In the top photo (left to right), Joe Scalfari portrays Clyde Barrow, Diane Carlson as Bonnie Parker, Billy Donald as C.W. Moss, Mike Raab as Blanche and Jack Dougherty as Buck Barrow. Mike looks a bit like Frank Zappa on the cover of the Mothers of Invention 60s LP “We’re Only In It For The Money” but it was the only main character left so Mike had to settle for it.
In the next photo Buck (Jack) and Bonnie (Diane) capture and kidnap Sheriff Smoot (Fred Buck).
