"Rolling Thunder" to arrive in 2012
Bandits drummer Joe Scalfari suffers bad accident

The long-awaited “Rolling Thunder” theme is getting the final touches. Drummer Joe Scalfari put on the lead vocal track with bassist Fred Buck doing the engineering. Joe also did drum tracks, Fred added a bass track, guitarist Jack Dougherty did a rhythm guitar track and keyboardist Mike Raab cemented everything with an organ track. The disc now goes to J.K.Loftin at The Cape Fear Studio in Wilmington, NC, for added guitar tracks, backup vocals and final production.

The recording has the backing of the Central Florida Chapter of Rolling Thunder through a former chapter president (Vietnam vet, Purple Heart recipient and longtime friend of Mike Raab, who wrote the song) David MacMorran. A music video is already planned utilizing original photographs take by Michael DiMartino of 2011’s Ride To The Wall.

Meanwhile, drummer Joe Scalfari (shown in both photos) suffered a serious hunting accident during a snowstorm. He was up in a tree when he slipped and fell, breaking his back and several ribs. His progress is slow and steady but it will be a longtime in rehab for Joe. If you would like to send him a card or drop him a note, send it to:
