"CHURCH OF THE GOOD THIEF" is a documentary produced by Mike Raab that details the first church built inside a prison in the United States and dedicated to St. Dismas. So far it has been selected for screenings at the Appalachian Film Festival in Huntington, West Virginia, the Connecticut Film Festival in Danbury, the Real to Reel Film Festival in Kings Mountain, North Carolina and the Independent Film Festival Showcase in Tampa, Florida. The Bandits song "If You Believe" appears on the soundtrack. |
A VERY SPECIAL SOMBRERO is what Fred is wearing. It was a gift from the late guitarist River Cabbage and given to the Bandits by River's partner of two decades, Rainbow, after his passing. Mike occasionally played piano in his band, Neptune's Buffalo, and they did an arrangement of "Welcome to Wilmington" on the Bandits' Bandit Planet CD. |
THE TAILGATE SAYS IT ALL on
the recently re-decorated Buck truck. Fred says he's fielded questions
from curious folks, talked to some about the Jelly Bean Bandits
and graciously declined an offer to play a wedding, all because of the
mobile Bandit billboard.
